My Gaming Landscape [January 23rd, 2017]

It’s back! Hello everyone. Welcome to my first Gaming Landscape in almost a year. After attempting to replace this with a new feature, Thoughts On, I’ve decided to stick with this format as it worked for me for a very long time. The only change is that I won’t be as strict with my rules as I was before. However, for you the reader, it should be the same as it’s always been. If you’re new here, this is an blog post where I talk about the games I’ve been playing and my impressions of them. So without further delay, here are the games I played between January 1st and January 23rd, 2016: The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past, The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth, Sonic the Hedgehog, Sonic Dash, The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds, and Dragon Quest VIII: Journey of the Cursed King.

My Gaming Landscape [February 9th, 2016]

It hasn’t been very long since my last Gaming Landscape but I’ve been playing a lot of new games so I’ve already accrued enough experiences to talk about. So here’s my Gaming Landscape as of February 9th, 2016: The Deadly Tower of Monsters, Gemini: Heroes Reborn, Mario & Luigi: Paper Jam, and Rayman Origins.

My Gaming Landscape [January 29th, 2016]

Hey everyone! I didn’t play nearly as many games as I did for the last Gaming Landscape and that was on purpose. As the first real Gaming Landscape for me of 2016, I decided to try and stay current with the games I play and January has been a great start in that regard. I played a good amount of new releases these past two and a half weeks, and these are the first collection of games I have an impression of. So here’s my Gaming Landscape as of January 29th, 2016: That Dragon Cancer, Pocket Mortys, and A Boy and His Blob.

My Gaming Landscape [November 14th, 2015]

Gamers, I come to you today a defeated man. Partially because I had an overwhelming month where I find it hard to concentrate on just one or two games. Mostly because I had to stop playing a game due to technical issues. In fact, please forgive the lack of pictures and polish I typically put into these.

My Gaming Landscape [September 21st, 2015]

For the uninitiated, My Gaming Landscape is an informal blog post series where I discuss my thoughts on the games I’ve been playing recently, as well as recent news and events in the video games industry and with me in general. This means that these posts typically contain impressions, editorials, and personal accounts all in one post. Everything that comes to mind and I find worth discussing in my personal landscape of video games will be talked about here, hence the name. So without further ado, here’s My Gaming Landscape.

My Gaming Landscape [August 10th, 2015]

Welcome to the new Gaming Landscape! In the past, I used these blog posts not just to talk about the games I’ve been playing but to chronicle and keep track of what I had been playing. However, that has become constraining as sometimes I don’t have much to say about some of the games I’ve been playing. This is why I stopped writing these for a few months now. What’s more is my initial thoughts on a game are usually on my Twitter account now (follow me @Colorwind, FYI). For this reason, I thought at first to end the Gaming Landscape series. However, I realized that there’s a need to a longer form of casual discussion about video games. I think that’s why this series has done fairly well to begin with. So for that reason, I decided to keep the name but with a different format. These posts will now talk about my thoughts and feelings on games and the industry as a whole as I seem to be perceiving them at the moment. This will surely bring up games I’ve been playing as well but this will no longer be the focus. I won’t even break up the post by games anymore. So with that in mind, enjoy the new Gaming Landscape!

My Gaming Landscape [May 19th, 2015]

I played a lot of games this past month, though I didn’t stick to most of them. So instead of the usual format of separating the games with a title and giving each game a paragraph, I’m just going to write about them in the same paragraphs in a casual conversation. After all, this is supposed to be a casual post about the games I’ve been playing. I might keep it this way in the future but I’ll see how this does. I’ll still bold the names of the games I’ve been playing so you can see them easily. Also, sorry for no picture. I couldn’t figure out how to cram all these games into one image. Alright, on with the Gaming Landscape!
