Favorites of 2022 | Countdown

2022 was a strange year for me. I didn’t keep up with as many albums and games and other media like I wanted to but I did have an overall successful year. 2023 is already shaping up to be different but before I head into 2023 for good in March, here are some of my favorite things. Again there aren’t a lot here but enough to talk about and 2022 was definitely a decent year for entertainment if not a great one per se.

Here’s something I don’t normally do but I thought might be fun. I’m going to make predictions with what will happen in the video game industry in 2023. New Years Resolutions 2023 | Countdown

Another year, another batch of resolutions. I’ve got the typical ones that I’ll list but there’s really just one I want to do. So let’s count them down! My New Years Resolutions 2022 | Countdown

Another year, another list of resolutions to attempt. Last year’s resolutions I essentially gave up on because it became so uncertain how things were going with the pandemic and the change to Biden as president. I eventually changed them to one goal: survive. I’m still here so I was successful! This year, I have three resolutions and as the pandemic is still going on, they’re all achievable without leaving the house! So let’s get into it!

My New Years Resolutions 2021 | Countdown

…I did not even bother to check last year’s resolutions. I know I didn’t do many of them. Perhaps I did one or two, but most likely not. 2020 was a year unlike any other in modern history. In at least 100 years. And 2021 is not looking to be much better. I think it will be better but most of it is going to be undoing the crap that happened in 2020. My New Years Resolutions are similar in that regard. There’s only two. One is typical for me but with a bit more urgency, the other makes sense in regards of my work. So let’s just get to them.

Looking Back At Dark Souls II: Scholar of the First Sin | Profiles

Dark Souls II: Scholar of the First Sin is five years old today. Released roughly a year after the original game’s release, Scholar of the First Sin took a game that was successful but disappointing and attempted to fix or remix the game to better appeal to hardcore fans of the original Dark Souls. Its legacy is a mixed one with many still seeing Dark Souls II as a low point for the franchise as well as all of FromSoftware’s souls-like titles, but the game, specifically this edition, does have its defenders.

Another year, another set of resolutions to follow. I was mildly successful last year and I think it’s because I took my time with the resolutions and I chose things that were obtainable. So I resolve to do the same for 2020. I have big plans for what I want to accomplish this decade, but I have some things I need to finish first. So this year is going to be a year of endings as well as a year of preparing. With that said, let’s get to my three resolutions this year.

Top 10 Foo Fighters Songs | Countdown

So I did a Top 5 albums for the Foo Fighters after a weekend of listening to their whole studio discography. Why not do the same for their songs? I’m going to do 10 songs as there is less to say and as always, this is my opinion. If you have a different opinion, you can always make your own list and post it somewhere on the internet or in the comment section below. Fair warning, these are mostly singles but what can I say? They know how to pick them!

Top 5 Foo Fighters Albums | Countdown

I finished going through the Foo Fighters entire studio discography this past weekend after wanting to do that since last year. I’ve always liked the songs from the Foo Fighters I heard on the radio but I wanted to go deeper! Finally, I did it and while I don’t think the Foo Fighters have any albums that are classics, they also don’t have any albums that are bad. So now that I’ve heard them all, here are, in my opinion, the top 5 best Foo Fighters studio albums. These are only their studio albums so no EPs and no live albums. Let’s go!

Countdown: New Years Resolutions 2019

2019 is here and you know what that means? New Years Resolutions! I did okay on my resolutions last year. I definitely was able to relax and I got out and hung out with my friends okay, but I actually gained weight after a year of exercise before giving up around November and I wasn’t quite as creative as I wanted to be with my work. My resolutions this year are essentially the two I failed at last year with a previous one making a return. So this should be quick. Let’s get to them.
