Favorites of 2022 | Countdown

2022 was a strange year for me. I didn’t keep up with as many albums and games and other media like I wanted to but I did have an overall successful year. 2023 is already shaping up to be different but before I head into 2023 for good in March, here are some of my favorite things. Again there aren’t a lot here but enough to talk about and 2022 was definitely a decent year for entertainment if not a great one per se.

Top 10 Foo Fighters Songs | Countdown

So I did a Top 5 albums for the Foo Fighters after a weekend of listening to their whole studio discography. Why not do the same for their songs? I’m going to do 10 songs as there is less to say and as always, this is my opinion. If you have a different opinion, you can always make your own list and post it somewhere on the internet or in the comment section below. Fair warning, these are mostly singles but what can I say? They know how to pick them!

I finished going through the Foo Fighters entire studio discography this past weekend after wanting to do that since last year. I’ve always liked the songs from the Foo Fighters I heard on the radio but I wanted to go deeper! Finally, I did it and while I don’t think the Foo Fighters have any albums that are classics, they also don’t have any albums that are bad. So now that I’ve heard them all, here are, in my opinion, the top 5 best Foo Fighters studio albums. These are only their studio albums so no EPs and no live albums. Let’s go!

Favorites of 2018

2018 was a year of hit and misses, in my opinion. While the year started off strong in video games, there were a lot of disappointing releases by the time the year ended. Pop music fell by the wayside in 2018 but it was replaced by mediocre trap music and due to Billboard’s new algorithm, album bombs ruled the charts. Personally, I didn’t see many movies or shows and due to Spotify’s New Music Friday becoming obscenely large by August, I missed a lot of new music at the end of the year. I also didn’t manage to play a lot of the year’s best games until Christmas so my knowledge of media this past year was limited. However, I do have some favorites to recommend, even if I’m not comfortable giving full Top 5’s or 10’s to any of these forms. The rules are that I’ve seen, listen to, or played these picks to the end and that they had to be released in 2018. With that said, here are my favorites of 2018!
